A Day at Sea

Today it was time to leave Tiree. Although I had flown in to the island, I took the ferry back to the mainland.

It is a four hour crossing, stopping briefly at Coll, the "sister" island to Tiree.

The day was sunny. The sea was calm. And the scenery was nothing short of spectacular.

From Coll, we came around the top of Mull, passing Calgary. I almost missed seeing Tobermory, as it is set in from the route. Then it was through the Sound of Mull between the Island of Mull and the Movern and eventually into Oban.

I am staying overnight in Oban then heading to Glasgow for the duration of my time in Scotland.
